My review of the Deva Curl Diffuser..... is it worth 160?

Image
Deva yay or nay? Over the holiday I was able to get my hands on a Deva Curl for a great deal. When I saw the deal I could not resist! I had been thinking of getting one but the price and some reviews had me in-between. While I waited for my package to arrive I read through groups and reviews and saw a mixture of remarks on whether it was really worth the money they spent on the diffuser. I was surprised at some of the comments but regardless I was excited to see what it would do for me. After finally receiving mine, I gave it a go, GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! I loved it and now can't imagine doing my hair without it!!!  My curls feel so much more hydrated and healthy, they feel full of moisture and bounce. I really love this hair tool and highly recommend it to anyone with curly hair. I love how drying my hair is so much easier. While one negative is that drying is still a long process but that's me no matter with the diffuser or without. This one right here gets a YES in my bo...

Natural/Formal Bridal Hairstyles

Image
If you don't already know I'am getting ready to marry the love of my life in exactly 6 months! My fiance and I are getting married in the beautiful city of Las Vegas and the one and only question about my look is how exactly I wanted my hair to be. I've seen tons of hairstyle options but none I felt were me until I came across a few natural hairstyles that really made me think... hm why not go natural for my wedding day as well and really bring my whole look together. In my search for hairstyles I realized there wasn't very much to see all in one place so I decided to create a lookbook for any other future brides interested in keeping a more natural hairstyle for their big day. Comment below and let me know which one is your favorite!

Let's chat my favorite hair candy  Lets face it ladies the struggle of day 4 day 5 and day 6 hair is real. Between trying to keep your look together and not wanting to throw in the towel, it can make you a little crazy. While first beginning my journey it was really hard to know what to put in my hair. I didn't know what order or if what I was using was even good for my hair, I just went with the flow and tried tons of things out, which at times got extremely frustration and expensive. If you're on the hunt for something new or are just interested in exploring your options you've come to the right place. I hope you find this post useful and please let me know in the comments below what your experience has been with these products or any other recommendations you may have that you incorporate into your own routine. Daily Rice water leave-in

Daily Rice Water Leave-in       Hey Curlfrennnnn! So January 16, 2019 marks day one of my rice water journey. If you haven't heard of rice water and all it's great elements you may be surprised when I tell you we've been dumping magic right down the drain! Rice water in it's natural form soaked and drained is amazing for your face as well as your hair. For the skin, rice water minimizes the appearance of pores, helps with acne, and tightens skin. It's also known to promote new cell growth, stimulates blood flow and also keeps your skin bright and soft. For hair, come July I may be calling this gods water. Fermented rice water is acidic which restores the pH of your hair along with making it stronger and longer. Now for the real deal.... I'am testing this out as a daily leave-in every day until my wedding in July. I'am extremely excited to see the results and i'am praying this works! I'll be sure to keep you updated on my journey....

Stay Patient and trust your Journey

Stay Patient and Trust your Journey. If you've at all taken a look at my instagram photos you see a huge crown of curls sitting oh so graciously on the top of my head. While I can say I'am absolutely in love with my hair at this point in my life, I can't say I've always had this same energy towards it. For the last 5 years I have been viciously looking for the best products for my hair along with going completely natural staying away from all chemicals.  Thus far it's been challenging but extremely rewarding and I couldn't be happier about my results and the future results to come. Jan 2014, where it all began. This was probably the hardest part of my transition. I wanted to big chop soooooo badly but I just couldn't bring myself to do it so I did what any other chicken would do.... I cut it little by little every 3 months or so (give or take). Finally November 2015 I had reached a point where I was comfortable with cutting the rest of my dam...
